Educational Qualification:
Group ‘C’ Post:
For NTPC – Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Minimum percentage of marks exempted in case of candidates belongs to SC/ ST category, or having higher qualification that is Graduation/ Post Graduation from recognised universities.
For Technical Categories- Candidates must have passed matriculation (10th) or its equivalent, and have completed ITI/ Act Apprenticeship in relevant Trade, approved by NCVT/ SCVT.

Erstwhile Group ‘D’ Post: Candidates must have passed matriculation (10th) or its equivalent, and have completed ITI/ Act Apprenticeship in relevant Trade, approved by NCVT/ SCVT.

Examination Fee: Rs. 100/-
Candidates are suggested to pay the examination fee in the form of Crossed Demand Draft from any nationalized Bank Payable at Kolkata or Crossed Indian Postal Order from any post office drawn in favour of FA&CAO/S.E.Railway/Garden Reach payable at GPO/Kolkata. The candidates are suggested to write their names and address on the backside of the Bank Draft/IPO and enclose it on the top of the Application Form.
SC ST/ Ex-Serviceman/ PWD/ Woman/ Minority Candidates are exempted from payment of examination fees.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected on the basis of written exam, Scouting- Skill Assessment, and Marks on certificates, followed by medical examination.
